I went flying on Friday – WOW, how incredibly wonderful it is to be so free and experiencing the virile thrill of flying such an incredible airplane. The power – the sound - the sights – an incomparable experience.
It was cold out, about zero Celsius, but I was nice in warm in the Waco with the heat cranking and the front cockpit cover on. I was flying our new demo airplane N818JB. Departure was west, then north towards Gull Lake . I flew up the lake; much lower then I should have, over my dad’s house, then west to Jim’s grass strip. The crisp air was crystal clear – visibility unlimited. On the way back to Battle Creek , just some light aerobatics then back onto 23 Left. The pattern was empty, so I landed very long, exiting at Bravo for the Waco Ramp.
